It is well written and is an easy read.Like most booklets on these issues that come from traditional financial managers of stockmarket portfolios, if I remember right,, it did not discuss alternatives to stock/bond type investments (such as buying rental investment property, or peer-to-peer lending such as Prosper) and did not even mention the no-fee or low-fee robo investment services and their pros and cons. And it didn't at all mention the significant downside of paying a traditional investment service 1% of your portfolio every year...even if they lose money for you.

This is a great book! This book highlights not only the importance of becoming acutely aware of one's own income, plans for retirement, and options for healthcare needs/expenses, it also helps with establishing a greater understanding of one's own value system. As Herstle states "Money represents more than the paper it's printed on". READ THIS BOOK! Love it!
A fantastic read! Easy to understand and concise. Common sense advice in a very diverse and complicated retirement world. I wish I had read this years ago.
Excellent book! Written for those of you that have been setting on your assets such as I, with limited financial wisdom, while that hard earned money failed to even keep up with inflation. Herstle does a great job of simplifying options for tailoring investments to suit individual needs. A great book to motivate you to dig that can out of the back yard and at last create a good investment plan!
Not only well written, but a most valuable tool for those planning IN ADVANCE. Wish it had been available to me before I turned 65!

This is a must-read for anyone planning for their retirement. It's easy to understand, even for a non finically type like me, and very comprehensive. I especially liked the 'green, yellow and red money' as a way to simplify investing.
I feel fortunate to have been given a copy of this book. Unlike other finicial books, this is written in a way that's easy to understand for us common folks that are looking for advice. The author uses real world scenarios in a format that has you learning while being entertained.
If you are looking at retirement and seek advice, I recommend this as a must read.
